Turkish A1 vocabulary: topics, examples and beginner exercises
Starter vocabulary is not one fixed official list. These topics help you introduce yourself, ask for simple information and understand familiar everyday situations.
Topics to start with
Choose words for early dialogues: people, places, food, time, quantity, questions and common actions. Learn short models alongside meanings.

How to study a topic
Choose 6–10 words and two sentence models. Hide the meanings and recall them, place the words in a model, then say something about yourself. After “places”, do more than recognise ev: say Ev burada. — “The house is here”.
This is not a complete A1 dictionary. Courses and situations differ, and proficiency also involves word forms, listening and responding.

What to add next
Once the models feel familiar, add ne, kim, nasıl, kaç, common verbs and personally useful topics. The 100-word list supplies a starter set, while the learning routine helps organise review.
Common questions
Is this an official A1 word list?
No. This is a thematic learning selection. A particular course or examination may have different requirements.
How many words should I take per session?
Choose a set you can recall and use in several sentences. A small group around one topic is often enough to begin.
Should I study grammar immediately?
Short models help you use words. Explore the forms they need gradually rather than learning every rule at once.
